EMC CLARiiON AX150/AX150i
The EMC AX150 series provides a cost-effective entry point to EMC CLARiiON networked storage. Based on EMC's proven CLARiiON RAID architecture, the AX150 utilizes serial ATAII (SATAII) disk drives and is ideal for performing fast, reliable disk-based backup.
The AX150 is available in two models, the AX150SC and the AX150. The single-controller AX150SC is a low-cost solution with RAID 5 and RAID 1/0 data protection, while the dual controller AX150 delivers completed end-to-end data protection. The AX150SC allows a configuration of three to twelve 250GB or 500GB SATAII drives and the AX150 allows a configuration of four to twelve 250GB or 500GB SATAII drives. The following operating systems are supported by the AX150: Windows, Netware, Solaris, Linux, and VMware.
Additional features of the AX150 series include:
- Support for direct-attach and SAN environments
- RAID 5 and RAID 1/0 support with global hot sparing
- 512MB of system memory per storage controller
- Email notification of events logged to the storage system
Both the AX150 and AX150SC are available with fibre channel or iSCSI connectivity. The AX150i and AX150iSC are iSCI. The iSCI protocol can be used to transport I/O from a server to the AX150i over the existing network without the need for costly infrastructure upgrades. The maximum drive configuration for the AX150i is twelve. The AX150i and AX150iSC support Windows 2000 and 2003 system attaches.

- 512MB of system memory per storage controller
- Email notifications for events logged to the storage system
