The Brocade 48000’s modular design and high port density provides a flexible and scalable solution for large open systems and System z environments in round-the-clock data centers. A High-Performance, Highly Reliable Solution for Enterprise SANs

Utilized in thousands of enterprise SANs worldwide, the Brocade 48000 scales non-disruptively from 32 to as many as 384 concurrently active 8 Gbit/sec or 4 Gbit/sec full-duplex ports in a single domain.

It supports blades for Fibre Channel Routing and FCIP SAN extension, iSCSI host connectivity, 10Gb Fibre Channel over dark fiber, and fabric-based applications. It also connects natively and non-disruptively in Brocade B-Series and M-Series fabrics, protecting existing investments. Brocade 8Gb blades require Brocade optical transceiver modules, which are available in multiple models to satisfy a wide range of speed and distance requirements.
