You can choose from our two lines of UltraSPARC® IV or UltraSPARC® III-based midrange systems to meet your application workload requirements. The Sun Fire™ E2900, E4900, and E6900 servers are Sun’s first midrange throughput computing systems powered by the chip multithreading technology of the UltraSPARC® IV processor. These servers deliver up to twice the performance of the current UltraSPARC® III-based Sun Fire™ V1280, 4800, and 6800 servers in the same footprint.

Sun’s flagship high-end servers are massively scalable, highly available servers designed for mission-critical network computing in the heart of the data center. You can choose from our two lines of UltraSPARC® IV or UltraSPARC® III based high-end systems to meet your application workload requirements. The Sun Fire™ E20K and E25K servers are Sun’s first high-end throughput computing systems powered by the chip multithreading technology of the UltraSPARC® IV processor. These servers deliver up to twice the performance of our current UltraSPARC® III-based Sun Fire™ 12K and 15K servers in the same footprint.
