CommVault Galaxy software offers you fast, granular backup and recovery of distributed heterogeneous environments. With Galaxy, policy-based actions can be enforced across all your operating environments, applications and storage types, simplifying the management of complex storage networks. Unlike other solutions, Galaxy addresses storage resources and data as logical entities rather than physical resources. Client data is logically mapped to storage resources (called 'Storage Policies'), which eliminates administrators' need to identify the physical location of data before a restore.
